Leesport, PA - Saturday July 21, 2007… Seventeen riders on fifteen motorcycles completed a 1,000 mile trip in 22 hours. It was the 3rd annual Holly Heilman Endurance Ride. The group rode to Freeport, Maine and ate at The Lobster Pound. Eleven riders will receive certification from the Iron Butt Association, an organization dedicated to promoting safe, long-distance endurance motorcycle riding. Brian Newhard led the group for top certification. Each rider pays to participate and can also get donations from others. The riders in this year’s event raised over $3,000, with Dave Clouser raising $1900 of that total. The ride was organized and planned by Harry and Sherry Knerr. From mapping out the routes to explaining the paperwork process, to travel tips, Harry and Sherry’s own long distance riding experience is what makes this event great.

Pa.1000 II
We had 16 bikes, 15 Harleys and one Yamaha complete the Holly Heilman Cancer Fund PA 1000 II. Money raised for the HHCF this year was at a new high, $4857.45. Dave Clouser, once again the top fund raiser with $2157.45 turned in.
